Students at Berri Primary School explored the concept of safety in their community

The SRC provided the school with an excellent lead in to National Safety Week in assembly. The
Safety Ambassadors talked about Safety Houses that are there to support people who are feeling lost or afraid. Constable Kerrie spoke helping ourselves be safe by walking in a group, and speaking to one another respectfully so no one feels bullied.

The focus on safety was carried through in classrooms, with a final celebration with Wheels Day. The bike rack was overflowing and scooters, prams and smaller toys with wheels were cared for in classroom areas.

Safety depends on each of us living out the values of respect and responsibility for ourselves and the people around us. A sound message for life.
