Our young students enjoyed opportunity to question their stars
It appeared that the whole school community was excited by the visit of Crow football players to our school. Deputy, Mrs Maria Vithoulkas and teacher, Mrs Helen Slade were delighted to welcome the players and media support. One couldn't help but notice the size discrepancy between our young students and their heroes!
Students had been given time to plan questions to ask their heroes, and it was interesting to hear the replies.Have you ever wondered how those tricky angle kicks for goals are achieved?
Do you know how your heroes worked to gain their position in the team?
Ben Rutten, Nathan VanBerlo and Ivan Maric answered these questions and more.
Ivan gave some sound advice to our young people re the need to leave the playstation at times to enjoy a lot of running and playing outside. He also took the opportunity to tease teammate Nathan by suggesting students keep up their calcium levels by drinking milk. (Nathan had recently endured some bone fractures)
Thank You Crows, for taking time out of a busy schedule to visit your young and not so young fans. This will be a special memory in many lives for years to come!
