Room 4

Welcome to Room 4

Room 4 includes play in their learning curriculum. Through play young children learn about and make sense of their world. During daily play sessions they can use their imagination to become mum, dad, a teacher, a doctor or a giant. As the children play they develop their cognitive and motor skills, increase their communication and social ability and have FUN learning!

The children in room 4 are divided into ability groups during literacy and some numeracy sessions. These groups allow children to share their learning with peers and extend their current knowledge.

Science lessons are practical, and relate to their environment and interest. For example growing seeds, identifies and uses their five senses, and categorizing living and non-living things.
