Week 1 Term 1

Welcome to the 2008 school year at Berri Primary School.

Students returned to school with eagerness to be in their classrooms, talking with their teacher and friends, or getting organised with their new books. There is a real sense of purposeness in each classroom as the program of learning together begins.

Staff had returned much earlier, also eager to set up exciting and inviting learning environments. Our common purpose of aiming for excellence and teamwork in a safe supportive learning environment will continue to guide staff in supporting the children and families we work with.

Students and families also have a broad range of talents, interests and experiences to share with one another in strengthening Berri Primary School Community. Once again a common purpose and shared values give direction to our caring and sharing with one another.

Berri Primary School is a community of people. How well that community operates is dependent on each of its members caring for and cooperating with one another; and living out the values of the school

This school has jointly written and clearly stated values of

Teamwork, Friendship, Listening, Honesty, Safety, Leadership, Responsibility, Fresh Start Each Day, Trust, Fun, Excellence and Respect.

I look forward to living out those values as I support and communicate with students, families and staff. I look forward to witnessing those same values being extended to myself and other community members.

*You will find the Counsellor's Office and Christian Pastoral Support Worker's Office in Room 12, next to the uniform shop. If we are not there, you are able to contact us through the front office.
